$1million for 22 startups through MVP Ventures Program

STARTUPS and small businesses across New South Wales have secured more than $1 million in funding to help turn innovative ideas into commercial success under the second round of the 2025-26 MVP Ventures Program.

The NSW Government announced funding for 22 businesses developing solutions in housing, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and health, with the aim of creating jobs, attracting investment and boosting productivity across the state.

The program helps businesses move beyond the prototype stage, bridging the gap between research and commercialisation so new products and technologies can reach the market faster.

Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology Anoulack Chanthivong said the projects demonstrated the strength of innovation across NSW.

“From housing and clean energy to advanced manufacturing and health technologies, NSW innovators are developing practical solutions to some of our biggest challenges,” Mr Chanthivong said.

Mr Chanthivong said around half the funding would support women-owned businesses, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses and founders in regional NSW.

Among the successful recipients is 14modular, which is developing modular housing designed to deliver quality homes faster and at a lower cost.

Aquacultr Group received funding to commercialise ultrasonic technology aimed at improving fish welfare and productivity in aquaculture, while EClass Outboards is developing an electric conversion kit for petrol-powered jet skis to reduce marine emissions.

Medical technology company DermR Health will use its grant to advance a less invasive skin cancer diagnostic test towards commercial readiness.

Applications for the third round of the MVP Ventures Program are currently being assessed, with successful recipients expected to be announced later this year.
