CALF Country Music Fundraising Weekend

CALF Country Music Fundraising Weekend

DEAR News Of The Area,

THE Coopernook and Lansdowne Forest History (CALF) Group, in conjunction with the Mid North Coast Country Music Association, will soon present its annual Country Music Fundraising Weekend.

This will be held at Forest Headquarters in the Coopernook State Forest, on Forest Road Coopernook, on August 9 and 9, 2026.

There will be free camping in the Forest Headquarters Park and a kids playground, so get in early.

A $2 gold coin entry donation will be appreciated, and walk-up country music artists are welcome.

If you can sing or play country music, then come and have a go.

Entry is by Forest Road, South Moorland; Pinchgut Road, via Lansdowne Rd; and Bangalow Road in Coopernook – all will be signposted.

By donation there will be morning tea (cakes, biscuits, slices, sandwiches), BBQ lunches (steak, bacon, sausages, eggs), coffee/tea?cold drinks. No alcohol will be sold.

Saturday night tea and Sunday breakfast will be available if wanted/ordered.

There will be plenty of raffles drawn daily, with prizes donated/supported by local businesses and CALF members.

All monies raised will go toward the Cottage Restoration Forest Museum Project.

The cottage museum will be open for inspection daily for those wanting to peruse the history of the forest area and timber cutting workings.

Old and new timber cutting movies can be seen in our movie area – bring a table and comfortable chair to enjoy the music.

CALF is open for new members to participate and help with the project.

Regards,

Bob Smith, Coopernook

and Lansdowne Forest History.
