TGSC Walking Football

PLAY DAY last Wednesday was absolutely lovely weather for a good fun game of Walking Football (soccer) with a good strong turn out of eager players who hit the field full of smiles and anticipation.

We, once again, played on the TGSC mid-sized field which will probably become our usual pitch for the winter season which kicks off 2nd May when we will able to utilise their larger goals making it easier for our keen sharp shooting players to bag some extra points as our current small goals are requiring all but pinpoint accuracy but it all adds to the fun and excitement with a few goal attempts just “oh so close” missing and a couple falling short of the line. Better luck next time.

We played two 15-minute halves followed by a 15 minute follow on session by most players.

Our newbie Ray, aka Rowdy, popped two goals in!

A special mention this week must go to Lorraine who hit the back net five times, I think, this week in our highest scoring game we have seen. Both teams getting used to the extra space offered by the larger field.

Thanks to Robyn for taking care of the laundry this week.

See you all again this Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone who is interested or curious is welcome to come along, have a chat, look-see or give it a try.

REMINDER: Registration is due now,

Tea Gardens Soccer Club 2026 season will commence Saturday 2nd May. Junior Games from 9-11am then Walking Football game(s) from 11am.
