TUESDAY 29th April: Our annual Patron’s Day many thanks to TGWBC Patron Lyn Humphries for sponsoring this special day, format for bowls 3 games of 3 bowls Pairs all 6 ends, random draw of teams. The winning team was determined by 2 points for each game won, then the number of ends won and finally the margin. Two teams won all their 3 games; both won with a margin of 15 hence it came down to ends won, the winners were Jean Glover and Pat Baker winning 12 ends the Runners Up winning 11 ends were Jane Uff and Lorraine Murphy.
Thursday 1st May: No bowls played due to rain.
Congratulations to Colleen Ross and Robyn Beaumont who represented TGWBC at the 2024/25 Women’s Champion of Champions Pairs Competition, 28th April – 2nd May. Colleen and Robyn won their section and proceeded through to Round 1 of the Finals unfortunately they were defeated here by Julie Cherry and Rhonda Fisher from Figtree RSL, who played through to the Quarter Finals where they were defeated by the ultimate winners of this Competition Selina Goddard and Jessie Cottell from Cabramatta Good bowling to our teams who competing in the Women’s State Carnival 5th-9th May, Foster Bowling Club being the main host venue.
