TWENTY-year-old Dyarna Crupi has been recognised in the NSW Parliament following the launch of her new business, Support to Independence, a community-based service designed to help young people develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

Local MP Tanya Thompson acknowledged Ms Crupi’s achievement in the Parliament of NSW this week, praising her initiative and determination in establishing the service at such a young age.

“It was a pleasure to recognise Dyarna Crupi in the NSW Parliament this week for the launch of her new business, Support to Independence,” Ms Thompson said.

“At just 20 years of age, Dyarna has shown incredible initiative and determination in establishing a community-based support service focused on helping young people build confidence, independence and important life skills.”

Support to Independence aims to assist young people as they navigate everyday challenges and develop the skills needed to live more independently.

Starting a business at any age can be challenging, but Ms Crupi has taken on the task with a strong focus on supporting others within the community.

“Starting a business is no small feat, and to do so at such a young age is a wonderful achievement,” Ms Thompson said.

The recognition highlights the growing role young entrepreneurs are playing in delivering services that address community needs while creating opportunities for others.

Ms Crupi said she was grateful for the recognition and proud of the impact the business was already having.

“Thank you, Tanya Thompson, for the recognition and support,” Ms Crupi said.

“We’re proud to be making a positive difference in our community.”

Ms Thompson said businesses such as Support to Independence demonstrated the positive impact local residents could have when they identified a need and worked towards creating a solution.

“Congratulations Dyarna on this exciting milestone,” she said.

“I wish you every success as Support [for] Independence continues to grow.”

The parliamentary recognition marks an important milestone for Ms Crupi and her new venture, with Support to Independence already attracting attention for its focus on empowering young people and helping them build the skills and confidence needed for everyday life.
