MOTHERS and mother-figures were spoiled across the Myall Coast on Sunday, 11 May, with venues in Bulahdelah booked to capacity.
Mother’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate the special women in our lives, and a chance for mothers to spend some quality time with their families.
For Bulahdelah mother and café owner Lacey Dawes, Mother’s Day was an opportunity to take a well-earned break.
“I’ll just be enjoying being home with the children and my husband,” Mrs Dawes said.
“We just love being at home as we’re homebodies, so we’ll just be staying home enjoying the sun hopefully.
“I think my children are special enough for Mother’s Day.”
Another local mum, Amanda Pomplun said she was excited to spend some quality time with her family.
“I’m leaving it up to my husband to plan the day so I don’t know what to expect,” said Mrs Pomplun.
“I just want to spend the day with my kids.”
Veronica Hughes shared similar sentiments.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the grandchildren and having my daughter cook a roast dinner,” said Mrs Hughes.
