BEACH driving permit fees are helping improve beach access across the MidCoast, with upgrades under way at Boomerang Beach.
Four beach accessways at Boomerang Beach are being renewed ahead of the busy summer period, providing safer and improved access to the beach.
Works include replacing ageing decking and stairs and adding new landings to better connect the accessways with road entry points.
Two of the four accessways have already been completed, including the access at the northern end of the car park.
Work on the remaining two accessways is expected to be completed by the end of September.
The upgrades are being delivered through Council’s Beach Access Renewals Budget, which is funded by the purchase of beach driving permits.
Permits are available through the council’s website.
