Hawks Nest Bridge Club

HAWKS Nest Bridge Club’s newest session is held on Tuesday evenings. Initially it was expected to attract Members who were still working and could not attend afternoon sessions as well as those new to playing Bridge and is a shorter and more relaxed introduction to the game. Over the last couple of years since it started these sessions have grown steadily in popularity with numbers increasing an amazing 50% over the last year.

With these numbers, it was decided to hold an inaugural Handicap Championship in line with each of the other weekly sessions. The first winners of which were Jim Urquart and Bruce Murray. Congratulations to them both, especially to Jim who has only recently learned Bridge and joined the Club.

With opportunities to play Bridge on 3 afternoons a week plus this evening session, it’s a great time to think about learning to play Bridge in a friendly supportive Club that has a regular programme of lessons all housed in its purpose built Clubhouse in Yamba Sreet, Hawks Nest.
