WEDNESDAY 25th was the March Monthly Mug and Lou Smith was the winner with 73nett from Meg South with 78nett. Terry Stellema was the best putter with only 29putts and she also won the 17th jackpot.

Saturday 28th March was a very windy day and the players found it difficult going with only one of the 49 golfers playing to their handicap; and more than 20 topping the 80+ nett mark! Toby Carroll was the best A grader with 70nett from Wayne Pollard with 73nett. B grade winner was Rodney Richards with 71nett from Darren Carrall with 75nett. C grade was a 74nett 3-way tie, but Charlie Matheson was the best on a c/b from Heta Pierson and John Stellema. Ladies’ winner was Terry Stellema with 75nett on a c/b from Alison Benson. NTPs were Wayne Pollard, David Shultz, Graeme Buck, Terry Stellema, Bob Denelzen and Alison Benson. Long drivers were Toby Carroll, Terry Ambrose, Rod Norberry and Bernie Newton. Meredyth Rae was the very surprised winner of the 17th jackpot (but no birdie putt).
The ladies played a Single Stableford on 1st April and the winner was Barbie Gordon with 32pts from Alison Benson with 29pts. No NTPs or jackpot this week.
The Vets played their March Monthly Mug and Craig Littlechild was the best with 69nett on a c/b from Marty Bramble. Garry Willadsen was 3rd with 70nett. Lou Smith got a birdie for the best 3rd shot on 7/16 and Stewart McNaughton had the NTP 17th. Ken Hughes, Peter Norman and Mick Gardiner were the happy raffle winners.
40 players enjoyed a game of golf (Stableford Medley) on Easter Saturday and the A grade (0-15) winner was Alan Crick with 36pts on a c/b from Toby Carroll. B grade (16-21) winner was way ahead of the field – Zac Watt with 43pts from Rod Norberry with 39pts. C grade (22+) winner was Peter Billinghurst with 37pts from Heta Pierson with 33pts. NTPs were Geoff Harvey, Ken Hughes, Joel Slack, Toby Carroll and Rod Norberry – who also got the 17th jackpot! Long drivers were Zac Watt, Luke Barry and Barbie Gordon.
Exciting news from away – Kath Guyer (one of our regular lady golfers) won the 36 hole shield event at Guyra last week (NSW VGA) with 2 great rounds of 34 and 41pts. Well done Kath.
