LAST Saturday’s 18 hole Stableford event saw 26 starters, and the leaderboard was crowded with solid scores in both grades. Carol Maher finished with 38 points to take the overall honours as well as the win in B Grade, with Antje Basson and Janet Moore just a shot back on 37 – well played, ladies!

Round 2 of the Ladies Club Championships was played on Tuesday in cool and drizzly conditions that made the rough a challenge and saw quite a few players come to grief. The bunkers also proved to be difficult, with double figures an unwelcome feature on a lot of scorecards! However our winners today were untroubled, with Liz Ross finishing with a nett 69, and gross winner Deb Matheson with 94 – great scores, ladies!

NTP Hole 10: A Grade Angela Clipperton

The 3^rd round decider will be played next week, and is bound to be exciting with the competition still wide open.

Thursday’s Lady Vets comp was played in beautiful sunny conditions, with 38 players taking part. Jo Buttrey led the way with an impressive 44 off the stick for a nett 34, with Marg Miller, Donna Clemens and Karen Serhan also on 34 nett. Chip ins today came from Judy Benson on the 10^th and Sue Hair on the 13^th. Judy also had an NTP and finished in 2^nd place today. Putt of the day came from Rhona Smallcombe who sank a 15m putt on the 4th – well played, ladies!

Veteran Lady Golfers Association representative Jo Buttrey also presented Lorraine Bragg with VWGA commemorative badge, celebrating a significant birthday. We wish all of our senior Lady Vets players continued good health and good golf into the future.
