TUESDAY 29th July: The Semi Final of the Minor Pairs Championship Irene Roberts led all the way bowling against Judi Polak, on the 17th end Irene was ahead by 11 shots, (19 v 8 ) but Judi sent down some good bowls and by the 24th end Irene’s lead was just 4 points the score 21 v 17, still anyone’s game.

It took four more ends of bowling before Irene claimed victory 25 v 18.

Jean Glover and Ingrid Luck were fairly evenly matched for the first 9 ends, from here on Jean hit the front and never looked back winning on the 24th end 26 v 15.

Social bowls played a game of Fours 12 ends the winners here were Pam Gilchrist, Leona Clissold, Dawn May and Bette Saillard 14 v Dot Dallas, Sheila Rattray, Dawn Jones and Dale Winter 12.

Thursday 31st July: No bowls played due to rain.

Tuesday 5th August: The Final of the Club Championship Minor Singles Irene Roberts v Jean Glover, what a fabulous final this was, great bowling by both competitors, but of course there can only be 1 winner.

Jean was in front by 2 shots on the 4th end, then Irene won the next 3 ends gaining the lead by 4 points (8 v 4).

By the 10th end the score was 9 all, on 3 more occasions the score was drawn. On the 24th end Irene on 22, just needing 3 points for a win, Jean on 18 but Jean was not giving up by the 27th end Jean had added 4 points to her tally, Irene 2 the score now Irene 24 v Jean 22.

The 28th end, the last end bowled was won by Irene she scored 2 points winning the Minor Singles Competition 2025 26 v 22, Runner Up Jean Glover.

Social bowls played 3 games of 3 bowls Pairs 18 ends results as follows Dawn May and Lyn Nightingale 18 v Pam Gilchrist and Jan Coomer 17. Sheila Rattray and Ingrid luck 24 v Dale Cameron and Bev Harrington 10 and last but not least Leona Clissold and Jane Uff 20 v Vicki McMillan and Carolyn Fredericks 15.

The winners on the day winning with the lowest margin were Dawn and Lyn.

Thursday 7th August: No bowls played due to rain.
